Two-braid Blast Hose
2-Braid Blast Hose

Two-braid hose is used in industrial settings where external scuffing is expected. It can be used with all common blast media. Clemco 2-braid blast hose has a durable outer casing and is more flexible than 4-ply hose.

Description of Operation
Clemco 2-braid blast hose accepts properly sized couplings and nozzle holders. The coupled hose can attach to any blast machine rated at up to 150 psi. Two-braid hose is widely used in shipyards and railyards because it stands up to external abrasions from being dragged about the blast site.

For applications where 2-braid blast hoses are used (for their more durable outer casing), a 10 to 15 foot length of Clemco Supa hose can be connected as the last section before the nozzle. This whip hose is easier for the operator to bend and manuever.

Advantages
• More durable outer casing than Supahose
• Inner tube wall of SBR rubber treated with static-dissipating compound, up to 5/16-inch thick depending upon hose size
• Two-layer outer casing of cloth and rubber-impregnated fiber winding
• Casing is pin-pricked to prevent formation of air pockets between layers
• More flexible than 4-ply blast hose

The Apollo Ambient Air Pump conveys breathing air from a clean-air environment outside the work area to low-pressure respirators worn by one to four operators inside the blast environment. The CAP-4 pumps air to the respirators without introducing oil, carbon monoxide, or other contaminants.

Advantages
• Supplies air for up to four blast operators wearing type CE helmets or up to six operators wearing full face masks
• Eliminates the expense of separate compressor for breathing air
• Uses compressed air for power; works where no electric power is available
• Eliminates danger of carbon monoxide poisoning caused when high temperatures break down compressor’s lubricants
• Requires no temperature alarms or additional air line filters
• Works with Clemco’s CO Monitor Alarm (when specifications call for air monitoring)
• Model CAP-4C includes integral two-wheel cart and extendable handle
• Protective cage (both models) shields critical components from damage
• Easy to operate and maintain
• Can serve as air source for other respirators that operate at 9 cfm at 10 psi

BB2 BB4 Basket Blaster
BB2 & BB4 Basket Blasters
  • Accelerate Finishing of Small Parts
  • Process 300 Pounds Plus per Cycle
  • Deliver Repeatable Results

Empire's BB2 and BB4 Basket Blasters automate cleaning, peening and finishing of small workpieces. With certain types of parts, no other finishing method can compare to these heavy-duty production machines in terms of speed and quality results.

Operation is simple: Load parts into the unit, set the precision timer, and the Basket Blaster does the rest. By tumbling parts within abrasive blast streams, these machines deliver consistent finishes – automatically.

Empire's heavy-duty Basket Blasters feature an unloading chute to speed parts handling and a polyurethane-lined media reclaimer supported by rugged ductwork to reduce maintenance requirements.

Two models are available: a BB4-3K with a 350-pound parts capacity and three pneumatically controlled oscillating blast nozzles that increase production rates while reducing power consumption, and a smaller BB2-3K unit with two fixed nozzles and a capacity of 300 pounds.

Put either unit to work and your parts finishing costs should start to take a tumble right away.
